Viz To Translate Miyazaki Hayao ’s Starting Point Essays
Popular North American publisher - Viz have announced that they will be doing the translation of Miyazaki Hayao’s Shuppatsu Ten 1979-1996 and slated for a release on 9th July 09.
Within its pages are Miyazaki’s personal notes on the movies he directed or produced in those 17 years, a rare critique of manga pioneer Osamu Tezuka, Miyazaki’s recollections of his father during World War II, and “Kūchū de O-Shokuji” (”Meals in Midair”) — Miyazaki’s 1994 all-color manga essay about eating on aicraft.
It includes director’s notes, sketches, interviews, manga shorts as well
