Site News & Stats October 2009

• It has been a long while since I last publish a post about stats and stuff. If you have been following our site closely, you will notice many slight and major changes on the site. The recent change was a “revamp” of our contact page which involves using some of my old photos taken with Canon Powershot S5 and some structuring of the content. The next in the queue will be our blogroll which has grown to an epic proportion that it is kinda headache looking at it (I apologize ^^) and also a redo of our “About” section. I think The Banzai! Effect deserves a history page of how it became what it is today as a blog and a site. :3

• Some of the other changes will include a figurine mini section will be slated for a change in the future, inclusion of site sponsors (do support them). There are also some unannounced projects in the works which I hope will reach out to fellow people who shares a common hobby with the passion in them burns with might.

• Also, I am not jobless anymore, I found a job for now and I thank those for the support given during the days when I needed funds for my site to keep it going. For those who are still keen into contributing funds to the site, I greatly appreciate it although it isn’t necessary for now, you may contact me via a form here. I accept Paypal and your funds will go into signing up for a more powerful server. *dreams on* :3

• Another fat hope.. since I am on a job, I wun be able to keep track of news that often. I am hoping for people who can post anime, game or otaku related news (fresh) on our site. The criteria is simple -  you post fresh news OR you know Japanese and able to post fresh news :x It is not a job so yea..fat hope for me.

• Anime Festival Asia 2009 is coming soon and we will bring our cameras around taking photos and cover the event to the best we can. Stay tuned for what we will do ;P

Site Stats October 2009

Since the inception of The Banzai! Effect, we have grown from a 1000+ page views a month to a few hundred thousand page views a month, generating gigabytes of traffic and thousands of referral from various blogs, websites, forums, image caches, search engines and many more.

Ignore the June’s pageviews, the 1.6 million hits that got on our site was due to multiple event coverages posts during that month.  Our average pageviews impressions normalized at around 25k a day. For those who are keen in advertising and marketing opportunities with us, you may contact us (terms and conditions apply, especially your site must be relevant to what we write somehow). i decided to use a chart to represent my stats than typing out text. Here is some random stats and graphics for October.

Average data transferred per day: 2.98 gigabytes

Now that’s the problem, as you can see, the total number of page hits includes robots and it takes a small portion of it. I have yet filtered this out for the numbers above, it is around 1/10th of the graph from estimation. damn analysis system didnt breakdown the numbers for me  =,=
