Japan: Remote Control Via Facial Expressions
What you need is just a wink of an eye, a smile or raise your eyebrow and you will be able to change your favorite tracks in iPod or even turn on the TV.
Known as the “Mimi Switch, the device looks and fits like a pair of earphones, except it is fitted with a set of infrared sensors that measure movements inside the ear that result from different facial expressions.
The device’s invented by Taniguchi, chief researcher at Osaka University’s Graduate School of Engineering Science in western Japan.
Man, I wonder how innovative such things can go, like an act of farting can trigger the air freshener to work as well.
