Wave Konata & Kanata (Soujirou’s Treasure Set) – A Treasure to Behold

This is love

This would be my latest and most expensive singular purchase to date, Soujirou’s Treasure Set featuring Konata and Kanata.

Cost me a pretty penny but nothing is too much (almost nothing) for Lucky Star XD

These two angels are sold in two forms; the set I have here and individually.

Buying the combined set or Treasures set comes with it some special extras which we all love. I’ll get to those later.

First up, Kanata.

With only an appearance in episode 22, she can probably be considered a side character. I enjoyed her short appearance nevertheless which was my favorite touching moment in Lucky Star (the other probably being the Haruhi Gekisou scene).

I really like the way the hair is done.

And now I’ll begin with the extras ^^

As you might have noticed, the stand that Kanata is standing on has a wooden panel design. This is different from the individual sets which are plain white.

The pose that Kanata holds is also different from the individual set. The treasures set comes with extra parts for Kanata, allowing swapping of arms and faces.

Body Parts

Let’s take a look at a few poses.

“Hello”

The hat is actually only held by one hand and from the way I see it, very fragile

And next we have Konata.

Unlike Kanata, she doesn’t have swappable faces/arms but comes with two stuffed dolls that you can hang on her arm.

The individual set only comes with Akira while the Treasures set comes with Soujirou as well.

As with Kanata, I really love how they did the hair for Konata.

I found it amusing that they parted the hair just for her behind XD

And now to the next part of this post.

I woke up early one morning to catch the early light of the morning sun at a nearby beach. To what end? A photoshoot of course! XD

Below are the results of my shoot. Enjoy ^^.

And for the finale, a little something I spent some time photoshopping out. XD

“I will always be right beside you…”

I had to reverse engineer the effect since I only took the shot with both Konata and Kanata in it.

So I cut out Kanata, recreated the beach behind her and placed her faded image back on.

Took me quite some time though.

I also made a 1920 X 1080 resolution wallpaper out of it for my desktop (yes, new 21.5″ monitor XDD).

Feel free to use it if you dun mind the ragged edges here and there from my amateur work.

School is starting soon so you can expect my posting frequency to drop.

I still have quite a few reviews to do though. Sigh.
