figma Tsukasa and Miyuki Summer Uniform Ver. – Sleeveless is not bad……

It’s october loots time as not one but THREE figmas come in at the same time for me.

Talk about wallet drain. >_<

As you can see from the picture, this time it’s Tsukasa, Miyuki and Shamal.

Shamal will be on a different post though. :3

So let’s start with Tsukasa.

I have always thought that figmas wouldn’t do too well without some sort of sleeve that would potentially mask the elbow joint or make it look less visible. Perhaps I’m just used to the joints  now but I find the sleeveless look for the Lucky Star Girls kinda refreshing.

When I first heard that Max Factory was going to release the LS Girls in summer uniform I was going like “WHYYYYYYYYYYY?!”. But since they come with extra heads and faces they are obviously a must get :3

Someone else jumped the gun on me for Konata Summer ver. but I’m taking the spot for these two!

Soooo adorable

The first thing I noticed about the summer uniform series is the giant yellow ribbon of the uniform.

Like the pink one for the winter uniform, it is connected by a small contact to the figurine. Seeing as how my winter Tsukasa’s ribbon is already partially worn, there is a risk of having the ribbon fall off due to constant handling.

Beyond that, the summer versions have a slightly larger range of motion as the lack of sleeves also makes the arms thinner and less likely to be blocked by the body. Also, I like the colour blue better than pink ^^;

Tsukasa comes with a school bag along with the usual package of swappable hands.

Obviously, the fun with playing with figmas and Nendoroids is the ability and option of swappable parts that allow you to express different emotions and situations.

Tsukasa gained a few kilos and broke a chair O_O

Also, Tsukasa is just adorable. She comes with 2 extra faces, one is the above expression and the other is a blank face just like Konata’s.

I love expressions like this as they have no eye color and thus can be used for other LS characters without problems.

Not forgetting of course that Tsukasa comes with Hiyori’s head (that sounds so wrong), the yuri loving classmate of Minami and Yutaka.

Parallel dimension hi-jinx. Maybe that would be a good idea for a comic. Hmm…

I wonder if there are any hardcore addicts that get 2 sets of each in order to have bodies for the heads of every single character for each uniform?

I certainty won’t go that far ^^;

Next up let’s check out Miyuki.

I once read in a blog somewhere that discussed the differences between Lucky Star and K-ON! back when K-ON! was in season.

While I had likened Tsumugi with Miyuki, I have to agree that in terms of character development (COMPARATIVE statement here), I feel Miyuki got pretty short changed unlike Tsumugi who got her fair share of the limelight.

I usually don’t use Miyuki much in my strips simply because I don’t see how she would fit in the whole scheme of things. Perhaps a season 2 would fix this? *hint hint*

So why the sudden comparison?

The face Miyuki comes with, for me, strikes me as somewhat off character but in a good way. Miyuki in the show is often depicted as the shy and intelligent (and moe) type. But the above expression strikes me more as more energetic and outgoing.

I’d also like to mention here that her ribbon sticks up because of her ample assets. XD

“I lost my glasses!”

Miyuki also has a hairpiece without her glasses (for those who didn’t know, the glasses are stuck on her hair), allowing us to do the above situation  XD

Again, another wonderful expression that can be shared among other LS characters.

“Someone help me find my glasses!”

I recall some collectors physically removed the the glasses for their Miyuki winter unifrom ver. in order to have her without her glasses.

A creative move but a now redundant one I’m afraid. =P

Face from winter version

Miyuki’s “special item”, as I call it, is the trademark moeblob cat from Lucky Star.

Not very useful in most situations but it is nice as background decoration.

And it’s cute too. :3

Whatever happened to the pettanko brigade? T_T

Miyuki comes with Minami’s head which can be placed on Miyuki’s winter uniform body.

Everything is fine EXCEPT for one GLARING problem.

I suppose you can work it out by using Tsukasa or Kagami’s body instead but Minami is pretty tall. =P

Putting them side by side, it is almost like they are twin sisters with different personalities XD

And with almost all the gang here, I can already have some interesting scenes set up…

Now all that’s left is Kagami.

I’m sure she feels pretty left out. XDD

And what happened to Misao and Ayano? Truly the “Background Combination” to the end I guess? XDD
